Upper Cut Woodworks is a small family owned custom woodworking business in Redmond, Washington.
I work with families to design custom furniture to meet their needs. That furniture is then built, one piece at a time, in my small shop. Each piece is built out of solid wood or high quality veneers that are are Forest Stewardship Council Certified. Painted pieces are primed and painted with American Pride Paint. There are a wide variety of safe wood finishes available today including Shellac and great water based finishes like General Finishes Enduro Var.
Our most recent project is the Thomas Walnut Dresser, check out the series of blog posts here or the final project here.
If you are inspired by a piece you see in a catalog, and would like a similar piece designed and built specifically for your family, contact me.
Feel free to check out the Project Gallery to see the pieces I’ve completed for friends, family, and my own home.
Check out my Shop Tour to see where I will build your piece.

Upper Cut Woodworks and the Skyline Gridiron Club
| My wife Alexis taught at Skyline High School in Sammamish for seven years and introduced my daughter and I to the great community that surrounds the school. Fantastic academics, extra-curricular activities, and athletics. My oldest daughter graduated from Skyline and was a two-time state champion in cheer. If you know me, you know I love football. College and high school are my favorite, and Skyline has a great program, winning the state championship four out of the last five years. In support of the Skyline Gridiron Club Upper Cut Woodworks is proud to participate in the fundraising auction. I’ll be building a Shaker Table and bidding on some items as well. You can view the listing here, and even though you might be far away from Sammamish I hope you are encouraged to support your local schools. |
